Default Wiring question for an MSD Digital 6AL to my '65

Got a bunch of stuff done on my '65 today, but I have a specific question on wiring the MSD Digital 6AL that I thought I would pose here before I call their support number next week.

The 6AL is installed, mounted - just not wired up.

I still have the original '65 Distributor, but with a Pertronix Ignitor II, and FWIW a Petronix Flamethrower II coil.

The 6AL installation manual references different applications, and I think I should follow the section "Installing to Points/Amplifier Style Ignition."

In this case, the 6AL Orange/Black wires would go to the coil.
The original coil + wire (ignition key) will go to the 6AL red wire
The original coil - wire (pertronix ignition amplifier) will go to the 6AL white wire.

I'm not using the Grey tach wire, or any other wire.

I think that's it.
I set the rev limiter to 5800 RPM (NOM - Edelbrock Performer 350)

With apologies in advance if these questions are lame. I don't really know what exactly all these connections mean - for now I just want to make sure I won't fry my Pertronix Ignitor, Coil or the 6AL.

It would seem that if this 6AL ever crapped out while on a roadtrip, I could easily disconnect it and reroute the current setup that it working quite well.

TIA!

You got it right, but you MUST connect the large red wire to the battery or battery post on the Solenoid, and must connect the large black wire to the battery negative or a solid ground, like a bolt to the block or heads.
