I have a 63 split window I am getting ready for paint. It looks to me like it has been in a wreck at some point in its life. The drivers door does not fit properly and looks like it is a replacement door. My question is . . . Do the 63 - 67 doors all interchange?
I think all 63-67 coupe doors will interchange (you can put them on any year car) but I know they are not all the same. The door handle pad is different from early to late, the interior pull locations are different.
I have forgotton too much over the years, someone with a better rememberer will be along shortly............
Hope this (kinda, at least initally) helps......................
The front portion of the '63 coupe door above the belt line that mates to the "A"-pillar also has an indented area its full length where the stainless reveal molding mounts on the door; that molding was eliminated for '64, and the door outer skin mold was changed to fill in the indentation.
And let me heed warning to anyone change doors......they may interchange but they were fit to each car at the factory.
Never seen a door from one that was put on another that didn't need glass work......so if you get one and bolt it on and it doesn't fit...you will have to make it do so.
I guess I cant post pics? My issue is on the chrome pieces between the wing window and the windshield chrome. I have a 1/4 inch gap at the top and 5/8 inch gap at the bottom of windshield. Good fit at rear of door

Just post a few more times.....comment on members cars or what they have for sale.....
I think you can post pics after ten posts.

Howdy,
Only paying members can attach pictures, however anyone can upload photos to a web site such as www.tinypic.com or www.photobucket.com, and link those photos into their forum post. Instructions for how to do that are in one of the "stickies" at the top of the C1/C2 forum.
There is no requirement for minimum number of posts, as far as I am aware.
Can you post some pictures of the entire door gap? It's hard to tell just from those pictures where the problem lies. I need to see the door lines to the body and the overall door gaps to help. Pilot Dan
