alternator plug wiring
I noticed that my battery was not charging in my 64 coupe . I found the problem was a broke wire on the two-wire plug connector. So I striped the insulation off of the wire and inserted back into the metal connector tab of the plug. I tried using some needle nose pliers to crimp the wire to the metal connector. I'm not sure if it will hold. Is there a way to remove the metal connector from the plastic plug to crimp the wire more securely? If not I may need to buy a new plug connector.

Slide a very small flat blade up in the back side of the hardshell and you can release the lock that holds the metal terminal in the hardshell. Buy a new terminal, crimp it and shove it back in the hardshell.
