I'm going to replace the plugs in my 65 327/365 hp engine. I have a box of AC 45 and AC R45TS. Cannot remember where I got the 45TS. I realize that the R is for resistance and 45 heat range, but otherwise are they equal?

Use the AC 45 plugs. They will work best in an original C2 small block.
You cannot use the R45TS in original heads, since the T indicates a tapered seat. The R45TS translates to R is resistor plug, 4 is thread size, 5 is heat range, T is tapered seat, and S is extended tip. These plugs were used for 350 cid engines made in the 1970-1980 time period.
Put the AC 45's on EBAY. I understand some people pay big bucks for these things!
As stated, the "T" stands for tapered seat (no gasket) so you can't use them. I've never found any problem with using extended tip plugs in a SBC nor do I know anyone who has had problems.
I have heard on the internet................................ ..........

A box of 8 AC 45 plugs go for about $30. NOW A BOX of 8 AC 44 PLUGS GO FOR ABOUT $50. The 45's will last longer and perform better for street use, but are not the factory correct install.
