What is the AC number for the first spin on oil filter for a 327. thanks Duane

Those numbers are good -- if you prefer the 2 qt filter then NAPA 1794 is the ticket...

Trick question, right?

No C-2 327 Corvettes came with a spin on filter.

For the 68 C-3 Corvette 327 it did and the Chevy parts book shows AC PF-25

I think that the PF-29 was the original as installed oil filter on 68 v8 cars including Corvette til the 69 cars came out and was superceded in Jan of 69, when it was changed over to PF25.
As an aside, the PF-29 filter had the old style 1st generation paper filter element and didn't have the indentations for the filter wrench. Here is a good article that addressed that.
