Nice work John........as usual. I'm the same way about molds, patterns, templates, etc. I've got this stuff laying all over the place, and will probably never use them again.......BUT, just in case!!!

Mike,
The only mold that I have discarded in quite some time, came back to haunt me. I made a mold for a rear floor on a midyear convertible on a SRIII chassis, and after it sitting around for several years, I disposed of it. It was not 6 months later that a friend was building a convertible on a SRIII chassis, and wanted to borrow it!
I have a strange reaction to the famous 'six tail lights'. I like seeing them on other folks' cars but don't want them on mine....purely personal preference...

Hey, it would be a pretty boring world if we all liked the stuff!
Nice. My side louvers are cut out at the front, but not all the way. Where did you get the Grand Sport metal inserts and how do they mount?
They are nice billet alumn pieces from Jeff at Mid America (the GS replica builder, NOT the parts supplier). They have threaded holes that accept screws from the inside - but you need to make your hole cuts based on the dimension of the pieces, as the metal is notched and extends about 1/8th inch past the inside of the body panel, so the cutout length must be exact. I always thought the original GS pieces looked cheap (made from the 63/64 grill). It took me many years of thinking about it, and was the only "no turning back" mod I made to the "painted once in the 70's, un-molested, undamaged car".... until I totaled it of course Then I went nuts

That swept back windshield just ruins the classic C1 lines IMO...there is some sort of '57 Chevy kit car replica that has the same issue that cruises Old Town sometimes...
I actually like the recessed door handles....looks very slick..

Yesterday Mike 'tweaked' my '67 Chevelle SS new stereo amp and in the meantime discovered my A/C blower actually had a missing 3rd speed (HIGH) that I wasn't getting from the switch setup (which I rewired last night). Duh!
So I've imposed on him enough for a while.
Errrr....sorry for the thread hijack!
If changing the third light per side.......... one must make a provision for the light's attachment. Two Choices ....... Cut the hole and glass a cadaver bucket in back of each hole. Or make bracket's to hold light firmly to valance. My SWC had this set up when I got it. Brackets were fashioned from copper/ brass sheet metal. I never thought there would be a market for them .... but I never throw anything away.

Thanks, I do remember seeing those photos once before. That's not a bad idea but I'm considering building a bucket that is glassed only on the back side.
