Default Trim decoder

Is there a place I can check, or perhaps someone could decipher the trim code on my 1964 coupe.

C24
style 837 / A-353 Body
trim 490J / 916A Paint

I appreciate the help. Mike

C24 - (March 24 body build date)
style 837 (Coupe) / A-353 Body (AO Smith body 353)
trim 490J (Vinyl) / 916A Paint (Dark blue paint)

There should be 2 letters after the "490", the J should be followed by a letter.

Not on an A.O. Smith body - they only used the first letter of the Trim ECL code; St. Louis bodies used both letters. A '64 A.O Smith trim code of 490J is a blue vinyl coupe interior.

Thanks John. Out of curiosity, what does an A.O. Smith body mean?

A.O. Smith (Ionia, Michigan) built 50% of the midyear Corvette bodies starting in January, 1964, and rail-shipped them to St. Louis for final assembly. Link below will take you to an article I wrote on it.
