Default Battle Scars

This hobby can sometimes take more than just money. Let's see your battle scars!

Pliers in right hand, electrical connector in the other. Pulled the spade out and had my grip too far forward. I think fix was worse when a needle was jambed up under the thumb nail to deaden.

This happened 2 weeks ago and while this didn't happen working on my car, it sure is putting damper on the summer, including the motor swap for my 62! Took the end of my toe right off, Doc says it will take a long time to heal...:

I tore my Tensor fasciae latae muscle over my right hip. No pics but vivid memories of serious pain. Dennis

no pics, but I about castrated myself using a wire wheel in a drill motor when I was wearing shorts. And was stupid enough to go a second time after the first close call..

Any chance that's from a lawn mower? Reminds me of the time a mower wheel dropped out of adjustment and I found out my blade brake was thoughly shot when I grabbed the edge of the housing with my left hand and the freewheeling blade lopped the meat off the end of one finger and a smaller chunk off the one beside it. Bleed like a stuck pig and took a long time to heal. Looks kind of flat and pointed now and I can't feel **** with it when fumbling around trying to thread in a screw or something.

Not the lawnmower. Long story about the nail being pushed into the toe when I stubbed it, and over trimming, and broke along a callous. Waaaaaa! Self induced stupidity.

Those pictures should be posted on a diet web site, because that just made me loose my appetite
Lots of battle scars over the years (goes with the territory if you restore old cars and play Ice Hockey, and this is for relaxation and pleasure?) but never had to get stiches for any car stuff. Pilot Dan

After seeing the above pictures, I ordinarily wouldn't post this but it just happened Monday and the pictures are from yesterday. Three cuts on the ignition shielding brackets before I finally removed them and multiple bruises on both arms working on removing the broken off piece of dipstick tube from the block. The brake booster and master cylinder prevented direct angle access, but I got the part today and all back together and done.

This just from changing the battery in my daughter's VW beetle! There's more sharp edges under that hood than you would imagine!
