CLR should work, they are probably hard water spots (calcium).

Another way to go is with "Mister Clean Magic eraser". My wife recently found out that it works great for cleaning our shower door glass. She said it comes off like magic. Give it a shot.

You could try vinegar or a clay bar.

If none of the above work, 'cerium oxide' is what is used to buff out very minor scratches in windshields, so it should work for getting out water spots.

Default Water spots

Bob Ami powder used to have a GM part number if I remember correctly. It should be available in any good supermarket. I have used it to clean up windshields for 40 years. It takes the film and spots off without doing any damage to the glass. Bill Gould

Think that is "Bon Ami".......and it is the Kitchen and Bath Cleanser (they also sell a glass cleaner, but for hard water spots, that won't do you any good).

I have used the Bob Ami in the past for hard to remove spots on glass, but I marked on the container: "Safe for glass, but use care" If I remember correctly (been a long time ago), I saw very fine scratches after using it. It is supposed to be safe for all surfaces (fiberglass tubs included), so I may just of not been careful enough to keep the surface wet enough, or I did not clean it properly before using the Bon Ami.

I had the same problem. Windex, 409, vinegar, all failed - but Mcguiars Quick Glass Cleaners took care of my stubborn water spots
