Simple question: Best car cover for garaged car. I want very light weight for dust only. Machine washable if possible. Catalogs state that every cover they sell is best for every situation????
I have several covered cars and the one with the TYVEK is the only one that is not dusty when I uncover it. Not cheap to buy but looks like it cost 50 cents to make. Go figure! Save the Wave.
For indoor storage, I like the California Car Cover Company's gray cover. It is relatively lightweight and it folds up easily and small enough that you can take it with you if you need to. It also works well for outdorr use, but i have found tghat over time it does tend to sucomb to sun damage.

Re: Car Covers (jpvette)
Years ago I bought a cover from "Back East Car Cover's) It is made of 100% cotton and is custom fit for 63-67. It lets the car breath just like a T shirt and is nice and soft and of corse washable. I also bougth one for my C4. Both of them fit and where like a glove. I don't know if there still in business but it's worth checking out.
I have Callifornia Car Covers made for all my cars - I get the "Plushweave" cover, which is gray cotton on the outside and plush flannel on the inside. Very nicely made, won't scratch your paint. I only use them indoors in my garage during (long) winter storage.
I'm a bit confused. Is a Noah (for example) different when sold by California Car Covers vs. Wolf??? I know the fabric is the same, but are the fits????
I also like the california car cover companies covers. I have the plushweave and it fits great and traps all the dust, just like it says it will. I have not been dissapointied with anything I have bought from them. Not many companies I can say that about. Keep in mind that my car is garaged so I don't really know how it would stand up outdoors.
