C1 envy
My wife and I recently had the opportunity to take a day long road trip with some friends. The big deal was that the couple we went with are huge "non American" sports car fans. We had a perfect day for a drive along the Lake Huron shore line for a 3hr trip to a small town on the tip of the Michigan thumb. We sat down at an outdoor cafe for a great meal and pleasent conversation. We parked the cars in plain view from where we sat and watched as the C1 seemed to steal all the attention. Folks just love to look the old Vette over while completely ignoring the Mercedes Silver Arrow convert we were traveling with. Thought it comical that new jazzed up Mercedes seemed to pale by comparison. Midwest folks know a good car when they see one.

I have a favorite cigar shop I frequent in the touristy/Disney area of Orlando where many pro ball players/celebrity musicians, etc. reside (Tiger Woods, Shaqille O'Neal, Back Street Boys and the like).
I park the '61 right in front next to Lambos and Ferraris quite often and the old girl gets just as much attention as the pasta rockets...
