62 Resto-Mod
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
@scotzilla , and some others, say it can't be done. Get the look and stance scotzilla got, and have a soft top.
@vetrod62 , and again some others, say it can be done.
The only thing I see that's not been mentioned here is the difference in between the scotzilla's red car, and vetrod62's burgundy car is.....the top of Scottzilla's tires are hidden, tucked in way up in the fenderwells. Vetrod62's tires (on the photo he posted) are not. There's distance in between the top of the tire and the wheel lip. Thus, ample room for the top bows.
Now, since this post is several years old? Have there been any changes, modifications discovered, remedies or solutions, aftermarket parts, etc? To get Scotzilla's tire size and stance, and still be able to fold down a soft top?
Or should I just hack away and accept that I'll just have no soft top?
