Default C2 door hinge position

I may have messed up. I have removed the hinges from my '64 coupe to replace the bushings and paint the jams. I thought I was careful and marked their orientation. When I was ready to reinstall them, I noticed that the head of the hinge pin was on the underside rather than the top of the hinge meaning that if the hinge should be inserted from the top, I switched sides. Should the hinge pin head be on the top or bottom? Intuitively, it would seem that it should be from the top. Your help is always appreciated.

Dave,

I've always observed the pins inserted from the bottom no matter which hinge. In the end probably doesn't matter from which end they are orientated.

On my car all four hinges were the same when looking at them on the bench. So two hinges on one side of the car had the pin going up and the other two pointed down.

Followed up last night. It appears that both upper and lower hinges are the same and the pins would be upside down on the passenger side. Thank you.
