The underside of the hood is the same as the firewall and inner fenders - it's flattened black lacquer.

John Thanks for the information it will be helpful. My injectors will stick through the hood where I cut. I don';t know how to post pictures are I would. The hood that I cut was a spare that I have had for 20 years. Thanks to all that helped
