Default C1 shift linkage problem

I have a BW T-10 4 speed in a 58 that I bought from a guy that had been restoring it for 20 years. last week the shifter became sloppy and I could not get into 3rd or 4th gear. After removing the shift pattern plate and boot, I could see that that spring on the cross shaft was missing and all that remained was a threaded coupling with a 1/4 inch hole in it. Can anybody tell me what other parts may be missing other than the spring?

Sounds to me like the pin that goes through the handle, through the cross shaft to select 1-2 & 34 shift gate is broken.

If it's the pin broken or missing, easy fix.

all that remains is a threaded coupling. Other than the missing spring, what other parts might be needed? None of the references that I havce including the AIM show details.

Do a search on Corvette vendors. Many of them have pictures in their online catalogues. Somebody here has an exploded view of a T-10 shifter.

Here's what the '57-'63 4-speed shifter looks like.

I believe that picture is of a '59-'62 shifter, John.
