I think natural always looks better when it's possible, but when the aluminum gets stained and pitted, you really have limited choices. I've yet to try alumablast (I need to do that) but I really like the Dupl-color High Performance Wheel Coating (rattle can). it's a very good product that resists heat and chemicals very well. I've had it on intakes and engine blocks for several years with no discoloration or pealing at all. I just did my valve covers today actually
