Default Help identifying 61 parts

Have 61 that is 270hp matching numbers 4 speed that has had dash
cut on both sides driver side approximately 5 inches and pass side 12
inches was withcut exactly for something, also has headers with choke tube on pass side going to choke on rear carb.Car is very early build
mid sept about 3 weeks into production.
Any answers or ideas would be great.

Well clearly the headers are aftermarket - no question on that score.
Never seen a dash butchered up like that. I hope some moron wasn't
trying to get to the windshield wiper transmissions or the side bolts
that hold the windshield frame in (and then realized they screwed up
and stopped cutting). I REALLY hope I'm wrong.

They are both 2 feet away from wiper motor and are both cut
to something that was a direct fit, they werent cut to get to something,
and they are both out near the curve of the windshield and something appears to have been there at one time but no bolt holes for a bracket?

I know where the wiper motor is (I have a '61) I was talking about the wiper transmissions under each wiper arm. Other than that speakers ? Or maybe somebody just dropped some sort of trays in there to hold stuff since these cars have such scarce cockpit storage. Or maybe hidden compartments to smuggle drugs in from Juarez.

Who knows ? If only these old car could talk...

Mu buddy Mike Coletta has pictures of a tangle of soldered brass plumbing behind the vertical cardboard trunk cover in a C1. Its not a power top setup and looks like somebody had a moonshine still back there...weird as all hell.

That tube welded to the header tubes for a choke was VERY common many years ago. So I'm guessing those headers go back tot he Civil War era.
