I found another one
Today I went to change an electric meter in the city I live in, and found another Vette. I pull up and an old lady is on the curb looking at her Caddy. I tell her I need to change the meter on the garage in the back of her house. So we walk back there and the whole way back I'm thinking why would you put that nice of a car on the curb and not this big garage? So I ask a few questions and she says there is a few old cars in the garage. She says something about a Ford and then says "Corvette". She says her son owns it and asked if I would like to see it? So of course I do! As she is opening the door I'm thinking its gonna be a 1974 or something. I walk in and I could tell by the profile of the car cover C1. She says I think it's a 1942. I said I'll tell ya in a sec. So I walk to the back and lift the cover and I say 59, or 60. She says 59. It's her sons car and he has had it 40 yrs. and it never gets driven but it's very nice shape. red/white with white top, red interior and red hard top. No pictures at this time, but I have the guys number to call him. I sure can dig them up but just can't seem to close a deal yet.

I called the guy tonight and it's not for sale. He told me he does not like to sell things. A lady hit him back in the 70's and he had the car fully restored with new chrome and ss, paint etc. and parked it as soon as it was done. That is where it still sits today. I just don't understand people! He has my number so maybe he will have a change of heart.

Well, I guess that's the best way not to have it hit again! 
Forty years of looking at it sitting in a garage is a hell of a way to spend your money! Guess he plans on taking it with him when he goes.
