I have a 61 project that I hope to begin working on this winter. Last month I removed the front crossmember, which was no doubt in place since '61, and all of the bolts do not drop down from the top.

IIRC, the Assembly manual may not correspond to this, but.....
8 inners, from bottom up.
4 Front outers, top down.
4 Rear outers, bottom up.
This is how they were on a '59 I restored, and on other '59's I've done.

So, Does that mean only the 2 outer front on each side go down with all others up as rich5962 shows in his photos ?
