I thought this would bring back some great memories for the old farts here. It sure did for me. Lot's of C-1's.

i remember leaning on those chain link fences for hours......we always looked behind us for an easy escape route if things got hairy, usually only a telephone pole laid on the ground to jump over!.....

Thanks for the memories! Although not the dragstrip I went to, everything about it (especially the lack of any safety devices to keep the cars on the track) was familiar. Love those nose in the air cars!

That sure looked like Islip Dragway 1/8 mile and also Westhampton Dragstrip which was a 1/4 mile. Al W.
