I am trying to solve a puzzle on my 61 and get the alternator in a better spot. It currently has the plate the offsets to the right and up holes for the F bracket. I see this plate as the OEM for the generator. The F bracket I have has holes in it that are less than 4", but the holes in the ramhorn are about 4-5/8" (4.55). I am wondering if there is more than one type of F bracket?
You can see part number 401113 shows the width of holes on the ramhorn vs the width in the F bracket...
But then if you search 302015 it says it works directly on the ramhorn. SOOOO, is this a "special" F bracket??? WTH? Please educate this dumb injuneer..
