Vette Magazine... ????

Bill, I used to subscribe to both Corvette Fever and Vette Magazines years ago but dropped my subscriptions when it seemed the majority of their articles focused mainly on late model Corvettes, not a big surprise really. I think in 2010, Corvette Fever merged with Vette Magazine.

Corvette Magazine is another of the old timers that has survived.

I also used to subscribe to Corvette Fever and Vette. I found that the articles started getting redundant. Also, the C2 features were becoming scarce. I found I was getting all I needed on this forum.
Also, I would get a renewal bill at least six months before it was due. That bugged me.
All that being said I was thinking of giving Vette another chance.

I like it, partly because I still like paper magazines & newspapers and look forward to it.
"Vette" Mag usually has a feature article or a short piece with pictures on just about each corvette generation with a brief owner's biography and car history (originality or type of mods done), and also a "how to fix-it" spread with photos & step-by-step captions.
Some months it seems to focus more on older cars, then other months on newer. All in all, I find it has plenty of interesting information & articles (which can't be an easy task for the editors), and is a good source of information & promotes interest in supporting the hobby.

Back in the late 90's I was the editor at Corvette Fever. Our circulation was over 100,000. The magazine was making huge amounts of money. It was so rich I think we got sold 3 times in one year. It was crazy.
The suits sat me down one day and explained that they wanted to take the magazine in a new direction. I was shown the door.
The suits are still there and Corvette Fever is gone. I never really understood that that the "new direction" was to kill the magazine.
btw - I'm having a great time over at Vintage Motorsport magazine these days.

Well said. I agree.
For me, reading on a computer screen is less pleasurable than reading print on paper.

Paul Z. passed away last year.
D. Randy and I are back together at Vintage Motorsport magazine. We're one of the few magazines that's gaining in both circulation and ad revenue. The issues have been running 160+ pages.
There are some good things happening in the print business.

I hadn't known of your magazine before, looked up online, liked the content, and just subscribed. Sorry to hear Paul Z. passed away, glad you and D. Randy are still writing for a quality magazine.

I remember when Richard Lentinello was the editor of either Vette or Corvette Fever. He was only there a year or two. He is now editor of Classic Car which I have subscribed to for many years. It does not feature Corvettes very often but I enjoy the articles of other classic cars.

Just bought over 125 issues of Vette, corvette fever and corvette quarterly. For three dollars I have many articles to catch up on. The news stand prices are way too high for redundant material.

I like Vette Magazine, and yeah they seem to be more focused on late model Vettes and occasionally a classic. At the end of the day though, you have to say that you would rather read the magazine with any Corvette in it over one of those stupid "Ricer" magazines. I used to have a subscription, but I moved and just forgot to renew the subscription.
My dad in OCtober 2001, at Texas Motor Speedway with the Lone Star Corvette Club (LSCC) was on the cover of Vette Magazine with his former 1960.
