So I have restored my '62 after sitting for 30 years! We are having it painted in a few days and I'm torn between the Roman Red and the Sateen Silver. What do you think if I did the red with silver coves? Is that weird? I'm leaning towards red with white coves. I know the '62 did not have painted coves but I definitely want the coves painted. Thoughts on doing silver coves?

Just curious, what was the original color?

We think the original color was white with red interior but my Father painted it some sort of cream color and changed the interior to black 30 plus years ago.

There is a '62 in the Albany NY area we see at local cruises. It is red with white painted coves. Always gets a second look. Nicely done but a little "different". I like my '62 all red but to each his own. Bob

I think you should go with silver, but forget about the coves. The painted coves just don't look right without chrome around them.

Besides, it will look like your REALLY wanted a 58-61 but "settled" for a 62.
