Default Fill plug leaking

What do you recommend to stop a leak on my 57's rear differential fill plug? It doesn't have any type of gasket, and I don't want to overtighten it. Not a bad leak, more of a nuisance.

The Corvette suppliers have a gasket for the plug. The fluid should not come out when you take the plug out. The fluid should be just below the hole when you put your finger in there.

Thanks for the info. I know the rear is not over-filled, this is something that just recently started. I will chase down a gasket.
