Yes, the circuit board light is what I used everywhere except for the flashing headlight position. The two lower spots and temp is where I used the tower lights.

Louie, When I look at the BA9 with 6 LEDs on the web, it shows the 6 LEDs on a small circuit board. This bulb looks pretty big for this application. The Product Code: BA9s-xHP6. Is this the one you have in your dash cluster? Did they just plug in with no modifications?
Dejavet
Dejavet,
I never actually saw the LED bulbs that my mechanic put into my dash. Their product code is BA9s-CWHP6 --- which I incorrectly cited as BA9s-CWHPS in this thread -- they have six LED chips per bulb. When I went to the Superbrightled.com site and typed in "BA9s-CWHP6" it showed a pic of a weird circuit-board bulb that I'm 99% sure is NOT a BA9s-CWHP6. To clear this matter up and be sure about exactly which bulbs went into my dash, and which bulbs I'm recommending to you guys, I'll go by the mechanic's next week and photograph the LED bulb type that he put in my dash, and post the pic here. As Scott shows with his 9-chip LED bulbs, the limitation on bulb size is the diameter of the dash-backside opening into which the LED bulbs fit; the more tiny LEDs they can cram onto a bulb of a given diameter, the more illumination we enjoy in our old cars.

Lou, the bulb I show is the part number your mechanic gave me when I called him. I think they work great, how do my lights compare to your dash?
My mechanic Max gave you the same part number as he put in my dash, so the bulb you picture above is what I have too. It is the same bulb as shown in the Superbrightleds.com site when I search for BA9s-CWHP6 and what they show is labeled as BA9s-xHP6.
So, Dejavet, yes, bulb BA9s-xHP6 from the Superbrightleds.com site is what I have in my dash. They plug right in with no modifications.
Scott, my dash is the same brightness as your dash.
It's nice when we can all our digital heads together and get this stuff unscrambled.
Thanks again Lou, I love the look and the bright temp controls now, but maybe a blue bulb would look better for the temp control? Those dull yellow bulbs were not going to cut it for me!

Thanks Lou. I will order these bulbs for my 65. This is an easy upgrade that will actually make a noticeable difference in the car.
OlK. - I'm convinced on the LED's (and scared about cooking my dash wires/NOS headlight switch!), so I just ordered the "6 tower/360 degree" LED's for ALL dash/clock illumination, and three of the "9 tower/360 degree" LED's for the Courtesy/Dome locations; should have 'em by Wednesday! Quick question Boys - Do I need to "up" my fuse sizes from 20 amp in the Courtesy Light location, and from 4 amp in the Panel Light location? Thanks!
Ganz, you shouldn't have to up the 4 amp fuse. Stock lights are rated at 33ma, the LEDs are rated at 31ma. I have no problem with the 4 amp fuse so far. I can't comment on the courtesy bulbs, just compare their current rating to the #90 bulbs.
Update on what my LEDs look like in dash, footwells and glove box, and in the luggage compartment.
The glove box LED is the same bulb as put in the dash.
Hi Louie -
Looks real good!
Can you tell us the exact LED bulb type and color you used for the dash and courtesy leds? And who you bought them from?
Thank You!
The courtesy and rear compartment bulbs, which have 45 LED chips per bulb, are: 1142-CW45-T
The dash and glove box bulbs, which have 6 LED chips per bulb, are: BA9s-CWHP6 When you search for this bulb at superbrightleds.com they show you the very same bulb I have, but for whatever reason they label it BA9s-xHP6 next to the picture of the bulb.
For both dash and courtesy lights the color I got was cool white (indicated by “CW” in each bulb number).
I just checked at the superbrightleds.com site and the bulb numbers I cite here are the very ones I bought.
All this info in spread over several posts, above, but I decided to take the time to put it all together. Note that Scott Marzahl has improved on my setup, as he describes above.

Thanks Lou!
Did you have your cluster restored? I ask cuz your gauges does not emit the green color as the stock clusters do.
Your gauges luminance looks more white than the stock cluster looks with LEDs. Did you change the directional signal bulbs as well? And the 2 warning bulbs?
Lookin good!
Thanks Lou!

You're welcome! The last time my dash cluster was out I painted the interior sheet metal bright white, to help throw as much light as possible on the gauges. I picked up that tip here on the forum and I'm glad I did. The directional signal bulbs definitely got changed along with the other dash bulbs. The only dash bulbs I didn't change to LEDs are the flashing parking brake warning and headlight on/buckets closed bulbs; only one of those is supposed to be a flashing bulb on a 67, but I put flashing bulbs in both positions because I like it better.

CAUTION: Solid Axle Corvettes (C1) should exercise caution when using some of these LEDs.
The standard bulb for a C1 is a #57 globe style G-4-1/2, which has a max. length of 1.07".
The bulbs mentioned in the above posts for use in the C2 (although I do not know if they are "standard") are an 1816 elongated smaller globe diameter T-3-1/4, which has a max. length of of 1.19".
I tried using the same bulbs that Babbah used (each bulb has 5 SMT LEDs, with one facing forward, and the other 4 located at 90 deg. intervals around the sides), and the one installed in the Ammeter/Oil Pressure Gauge cluster, was too long, and contacted "something" electical internally, which caused the bulb to always be "on". There are 4 electical solder points on the outer face of this version LED bulb, and I assume that one of these made contact internally inside that gauge cluster. I removed the LED, and replaced the standard bulb, and everthing is back to normal function.
The LEDs I used measured 1.137" long, whereas my #57 is 1.062" long. The LEDs were certainly brighter and whiter, but obviously failed in the function/fit department.

Has anyone change the parking lights, stop/tail lights, back-up light, license plate bulbs to LED's if so what is LED bulb # and are you happy with results?
Any pictures. Might as well go all the way.
Regarding the smaller dash bulbs BA9S-xHP6 how many bulb total are required for dash, clock, heater switches, glove box etc that are all the same size.
I always thought LED's drew much less AMPS then conventional bulbs and therefor lower power requirements for switches and fuses.
Looks like SuperBrightLed's will have a sudden spike in sales -LOL
thanks Roger
