NCRS allows 1 year time frame on date for glass so window could be date coded for Nov 65 to Nov 66. Typically, a windshield is manufactured 1-3 months prior to car build date Look at your 67 judging manual for the proper codes.

I just went through this date code thing with my '65. My car's birthday is tomorrow, March 8. When I spoke with Pilkington, they stated typically 4 months prior to the assembly date. A check of my side glass (my windshield had been replaced with a non-dated glass), shows the driver's vent window is LOF, then Safety Plate, then ASZ on the left, then CG P on the right, followed by Safety Tempered. The CG is the LOF Date Code for:

C=November and G= 1964 & 1977

So, my March, 1965 assembled Corvette had original date coded glass 4 months prior to its assembly on the car.

When I order the glass from Pilkington, I requested a November, 1964 date of CG.

Hope this helps.

If you are worried about the date code than you must be interested in getting the car NCRS judged? If so buy a 67 Judging Manual and see what it says. My 66 manual says windshields are typically date coded 1-3 mo. prior to car build date but 1 year prior to build date is accepted. Your car will be judged against the manual and glass is covered in detail in the manual. My 66 was built on 12/20/65 so I date coded the windshield for Nov 65.

Jim,

The Nov date won't be a problem, I would go with it. You have up to one year.
