I am having an issue with the CC 2-1/2 welded exhaust. The left side seems to be about 1-1/2 to long and has the clamp at the rear distorted and obviously further back than the right side which fits perfect. The right side measures 81-1/2 and the left side 83". The front pipes are new and seem to fit perfect. See the pics below and you can see the issue starts right away. You can also see where i made my measurements. Is there any reason for it to be longer?
I bought my CC welded exhaust system about two years ago and didn’t have any fit issues. I didn’t measure the exhaust pipe/muffler assembly so I can’t comment about the difference you’re seeing. You might want to direct your question back to CC. If it’s a manufacturing error, they should make it right.

I bought my system from CC based on the reputation for their quality and fit. Left side was perfect but I had a problem on my right side. It was an incorrect bend. After a couple of calls I was basically told there was nothing wrong with their pipe and it was my problem. I ended up taking it to a muffler shop to get it rebent in order to fit.
Yes, they SHOULD make it right, but that doesn't mean they will. I hope the OP has better luck with them than I did.
I have discussed this with one of their product specialist. he went out and measured some existing stock and his measurements were actually longer yet compared to mine. I probably can make up the difference with the extension but i will have to re-drill the frame to move the clamp back so its not so distorted but hate doing it. I think the issue is shown in the first picture where immediately its longer.........if anyone has there car on a lift i would love to hear what yours measure. The measurement was taken from the garage wall straight back to the muffler tip.
Maybe obvious, but why not just cut 1.5" off the front of the left hand pipe (where it meets the down pipe at the trans rear). And..Maybe do it in steps, so you don't go too far, first cut.
Even from the best suppliers, these are repop parts without the benefit of OEM tooling and gages.
(By the way, those bends in your first pic are not necessarily intended to line up.)

I can cut it off but since it slides over the front pipe I will need to flair it further in so i can gain the 1-1/2 i need. I am going to try it tomorrow..... Thanks for all the replies........bill

One caution I should have put in the first post. Before you start cutting... Be sure that both pipes will clear everything they need to (spring, strut rod bracket, spare tire carrier, rear valence, and so on).
