has anyone got a picture of the C2 rear end gear case? I need to know exactly where the Rear end Code is for the Gear set?
Car is in storage and I can likely crawl under to look but its dark in the storage unit so rather then flailing about to try and find the code for the rear end, does anyone have a picture as to where exactly to find it?
Am traveling on biz so can't access my pics. Google.com/images and search c2 rear end codes. It is along the bottom edge of the housing and is the easiest drive train code to find IMO. Take some brake cleaner and a wire brush. You may have to remove crud to see it.

yes Dennis that is where it is as your arrow shows on the pumpkin not the cover at the top
So crawling under the car from the rear of the car and the rear end jacked up. Where the rear cover and the pumpkin join at the very bottom I scrape that area with a wire brush and it should show up? yes/no?

Yes, and here is a picture of mine should clarify the location
Yes, it's stamped on the bottom as-cast flange on the diff case, between the spring mounting plate and the camber strut rod bracket; you'll definitely need to clean the area to see the stampings.
Great thanks, not looking forward to this lol
The storage unit is dark and full of everything that goes in the garage.
Thanks again.
isn't there a young lad in your neighborhood that would love a ride in a '63 Corvette next summer? Give him a trouble light and a wire brush and let him have at it Dennis....
Don't forget to rub a little grease on that fresh cast after you get the numbers...
