I have not had them off but since I have a sticky brake I am going to pull the wheels later tonight and replace the wheel cylinders.
No 1963 Corvette was delivered with knockoffs although they could be ordered at the dealer by checking off RPO 48 which set you back about $321.15. However GM had manufacturing issues withem leaking so none were ever delivered. They would have come with three bar spinners.
Early proving ground and racing photos are around with those knock off wheels using two bars and there are some that say the RPO 48 option would have come with them. I personally like the two bar look on the split window coupe only. Congratulations on a great car. I loved mine while I had it.

Its interesting watching the market for these one year only cars for the past two years. Seems the disparity between the asking price and the offers is pretty substantial right now.

The three currently on eBay have BIN prices in the low-to-mid 60K but the bids stall out around $52-$55K. I'm talking driver quality, mostly original cars (any of which I'd be proud to own), and, not the fuelies and triple crown winners....

I suspect the market is flattening out on these cars somewhat and the owners haven't gotten the message yet.

Frankie, I like the $52k-55K number, that means I am still making good money if I decided to sell

I am trying to figure out how may splits are left now. It seems like the numbers available are quite low. I am totally shocked this one was only 2 miles from me and he had it 33 years. He told me he is finally cashing out his retirement plan.

Beauty... Welcome to the SWC club.

Any interior restore questions I can likely help.....

Like the special hell reinstalling original interior metal trim without scratching it and getting it fully seated in the built in receiving clips around the site windows..

congrats.. mine comes in tomorrow (my 2nd one). 300 hp, 4 speed, power window, steering & brakes, sebring silver / black leather. yeah, i know, no leather in 63. just to ****-off all the purists even more, it has a flaming river tilt column with a real teak steering wheel and repro knock-offs. MY name is on the title, so "that's the way i like it, aha aha". welcome to the split window "GANG". it's not a club, it's a GANG..
now; where can i get a set of 2 bar knock-off spinners??? i NEED a set on my car. thanks to my new pal Mike McNair..

You must have gotten a very good deal. These cars have taken on quite the mystique even tho they are still primitive (e.g. things like all drum brakes) are tough to restore with many one-year-only parts and there were a bunch of them made. Almost the same number made as the '61 Corvette -- which is probably the easiest C1 to find and purchase.

I still have my eye on a couple of SWCs locally but I got jaded last year looking at SO much junk out there. Driving a couple of hundred miles more than once to find out a SWC was completely mis-represented.
