another hood question
hood from 66 modified with L88 scoup. fits on race car with hood pins at back. question - is it possible to cut rear cross brace (that fits over dizzy) without compromising structural integrity of hood? thanks.

Yes, depending.
I have had hoods cut like that because someone ran a magneto in there and hit the hood frame. The hood skin is so thick that it was stiff enough to work fine.
You can also consider making a fiberglass stiffener. Make a thin wall of fiberglass that runs in front of the distributor to stiffen the hood and be out of the way of the distributor, if the hood skin is too thin.
