I'm thinking of replacing my stock Holley carburator 3884505 list 3367 with another name brand carb that would bolt right on without any modifications for a 66 327/350hp l79. HAS anyone changed over to a different carb from a Holley 3884505 with good results? Appreciate your feed back.
Its hard to beat a Quick Fuel for a straight-across swap. They are basically Holleys at their core but with more thought in the design, adjustability and user-friendliness.
I ****-canned my cantankerous 4150 Holley for a Q/F with vacuum secondaries and made a couple of quick tweaks and the car runs the best it has in the 18 months I've owned it.
The Q/F price is hard to beat as well. Worth a phone call to talk to their 'techies'; then decide. www.quickfueltechnology.com

nothing john, just thought i would put it away and use another comparable carburetor to see how it preforms compared to the holley. Thank you
Well, be sure to wrap that Holley up REAL GOOD, and cut a little window in the box, so for the rest of its life, it can see out of its permanent "home" at "The NEW sheriff in town - Quick Fuel!"
