An Exhausting Problem
I just received a pair of aluminized mufflers for my 1965 FI coupe which I have owned for 42 years. I removed the left one first and tried to install the new muffler. It does not fit well enough to allow the exhaust tip to fit correctly. I removed the new unit and compared it to the old. They are similar, but not the same. The muffler extension that attaches to the stainless tip, is not welded correctly. I purchased them from a well known dealer in the south. If you have replaced your mufflers on your mid-year, and they fit well, where did you get them?

Do you want a performance or stock style. If you want a stock muffler go to your local parts store and ask for a Walker brand. It's what GM used
