I'm not aware of anything. The fiberglass panel slips into the body panel. A bolt holds it at the bottom and one trim screw holds it about half way up. Dennis
My original '67 never had anything to cover the two together. The panel just slipped into the grove. I guess a change occurred in the later years. Maybe the '66 and '67 were alike. Dennis

The 63 only has a pinch welt, which is a u shaped plastic piece with metal in in, that presses over the two panels to hold them together. It's really a crappy deal, which is probably why they changed it for the later years. I'm thinking that the OP has a later car with the pocket cut off. I'm thinking that the roadster had a vinyl covered cardboard piece vs. the fiberglass molded piece that is shown in the picture. The corner of the seat looks like a 64, which means that the fiberglass has been cut. ????

JOE,
Pictures attached from my 65 coupe.
The first pic is on the drivers side.
The second pic is on the passenger side and the cover at the top is missing.
The panel slides into a channel inboard of the striker plate.
