OK the background lighting on my 65 is intermittent on all 4 of these at night. They are either all 4 on or off. Is there a common ground or something I should look for? Figured I'd ask before I pull off the radio side panels and look to save me some time..Thanks in advance

Those are lit up by a bulb assembly that slides on the housing under the clock and it gets ground from contacting the clock. Not a great design but I bet your intermittent problem is the ground contact.
