I need a couple new keys for my car and called a supplier here in Canada
the young lady that answered the phone told me i needed a code to get my new key
My question,,, is that possible for a 1962 or could it be she was thinking i had a newer car
if i do need a code,,, where would i find it

Assuming you want a key that works (vs. just a blank key you can have duplicated/cut from your existing key), there's a 4-digit (4 numbers) key code stamped on the outside of the lock cylinders for the ignition and door locks (they all used the same key when new). The ignition lock cylinder is the easiest one to remove and check.
