Mike,
Great news, use the wax not the Wenol, as it is a polish and slowly removes the chrome

Hey Oaker, looks like another Easton boy will soon have a C2 on the road.

Probably not. I'm going to put some miles on It down here In Florida to make sure there's no surprises. It still has beak-in oil in the motor, for the first 1000 miles. The odometer is still at 0. I also need a wheel alignment before I go anywhere. I should be driving it in a few weeks.

Default 7/4/2013 Update

Happy 4th Everyone!

Well, spent the morning and early afternoon with quick wax and Invisible glass. Car looks good thus far. Took the maiden voyage II this afternoon through my development. Everything appears to be working. Spedo is now working and I am clocking mileage, whether that is good or bad

Still not real happy with the brakes. I think I need to put a vacuum like in the manifold for the power booster. Currently I have the vacuum line from the booster and the line from the oil fill tube running into the vaccum port on the back of my Holley 650 DP.

Steering is OK. Not used to manual anymore, but will get acustomed to it.

I think it needs to be adjusted in timing. Rough idling, but could be the cam.

My son took a video on his iPhone but I am still trying to get it from him. He needs a Droid.

Tomorrow, if the weather permits, I will be taking pictures for posting. I am impressed with the car and get a tear in my eye knowing that my Dad isn't here to see the finished project.

Still jacking with the driver's door and how it shuts. I keep messing with the weatherstripping and it has gotten better but still needs work.

I am slated for state inspection and four wheel alignment Tuesday. I asked them to go over the brakes and steering just to be safe. I may actually pay and have it taken over on a rollback, just to be safe. I figure $75.00 is better than losing the car on the way to the garage.

Pics tomorrow if the weather cooperates...
