Default Need Help To ID Engine

I just bought a '70 Chevelle SS396. It has a 427 in it. I need help with all the id #'s. The back casting is 3869942 and what looks like H1PEF on the passenger side. On the front pad is T10I9IL 6104400. I get the 3869942. The rest I could use some help with. Thanks.

Can you explain how you got that? And What is the H1PEF?

T= Towawanda New York casting plant. 10 is October. 19 is the day of the month. IL is the engine suffix code that is a 427-390 with a manual. The other number is the cars vin number. H1PEF is HIPEF. and what was cast in all blocks that's short for high performance

That engine if original stamp pad is from '66 Corvette number 4400 which isn't listed on C2 registry or on Google search. 194676S104400 or 194376S104400 would be the VIN for that car, roadster or coupe. Consider posting an NCRS orphan thread (or ask here to post for you at NCRS.org) if you are considering a 396 for your Chevelle. That Corvette engine is worth serious money and a friend forever if you can find that car

Thanks Velox, If some one wanted to put the VIN out there to try and re-connect it with the correct car, thats fine. So what would this thing be worth, approximately ?

The block is standard bore with no issues about 3-4K. Just a bare block. If its complete with the dated 702 heads crank and rods add anther 1,500. Or so

No clue about the crank and rods. Haven't been able to find the head #'s yet. Where should I be looking for those?
