Default Starter Question

Can anyone provide the delco remy starter number for the application listed below?
I have changed from power glide to M-20 4 speed and the starter
(#1108348 with 2 bolt holes) used with PG does not fit
Installed bellhousing # 3858403 with a 153 tooth flywheel
Also, I purchased the bellhousing cover plate. The hole in the plate where the starter enters is not perfectly round. It has a vertical cut on the outboard side of the opening . Do I have the correct cover?
My block # is 3932386 with 3 holes to recieve starter.
NAPA has told me they have one with 3 vertical bolt holes. Does this sound familiar?
Appreciate any help .

Could use some info on the car. How many teeth on the old flexplate? What exactly does not fit? The smaller flywheel will use a "long & short" starter. There is one long bolt, and one short one. The larger one uses a "cross bolt" starter. If your old starter had two long bolts, it will not fit. The starter number may have nothing to do with what nose is on the starter, as the rebuilders are not too particular. They mixed and matched all the time.

BTW, 1108348 is a 1968 Oldsmobile & 442 starter. The nose is what does the fitting.

Landshark454. I do not have old flex plate and do know the old one will not fit. It was replaced about 15 years ago which is why it's an Old's with the correct nose for the PG.
Think I will get the one from NAPA and try it. Should have 1 short and 1 long bolt.

Rebuilders don't care what nose fits what case....However a Olds starter will not fit as it {Olds and Pontiac} mounts to the left side of the engine...{Chevy`s, Buick and Caddies} mount to the passenger side.....and the nose determines which engine they fit......hard to help further as year and engine is not listed....forget about this matching numbers stuff

Not looking to use the old starter. Not looking for matching numbers.
Sorry for any confusion. All set here
