Oh, what is IT you ask? The complete Performance Plus Suspension System for a 1967........finally getting to the fun part of all this madness. :D
Geeze, 67! I can hear your pulse beating from here!!
Deep breaths, now.... in through your nose, out through your mouth.....
Perhaps it would be helpful to recite a soothing mantra..... repeat after me......
"horsepower and torque, loud side pipes, five on the floor, this is the life"

It's nice to hear that new UPS terminal, that interfered with my daily commute while under construction, is FINALLY being used for SOMETHING worthwhile !!!

Vette Brake Products.
Including offset trailing arms, the six packages weigh 183.5 lbs.
Are you going to install that stuff yourself (?), I'm very interested in how the front spring set-up installs.......good fit, no clearance problems, true to the advertisements, etc. Keep us posted.

For sure, 67HEAVEN, keep us up to date on how all that stuff installs and how it rides and handles afterward. I've thought of adding those things myself to a midyear, but never knew anyone who had done it. You'll learn and have fun, and we'll all learn.
Do offset trailing arms mean that you have to tub the rear wheel wells? If not, what size wheels and tires will you run?
Get a life  Just kidding ! Will look forward to the updates and how it works out. I noticed in the new issue of CF, someone has a rack/pinion bolt in kit for midyears, faster ratio, easier steering(even with power), etc...Never know until you talk to a real person that has used this stuff vs. their marketing hype.

Re: Do you think.......maybe? (67HEAVEN)
Ahh, but will you know what to do with it when it arrives?
I think the instructions I got went something like: "Insert tab A into slot B; fold along dotted line while holding the Strut Rod Assembly (refer to diagram) in your right hand and, with your left hand, rotate counter-clockwise six degrees while depressing the heim joint with your left foot and lifting, with your right foot, the passenger side shock mount into position, then with............." If you need any help just let me know. :D

No tubbing inside....but with 10" wide rims, the outside is going to need some work. :D As a matter of fact, I talked to the guy in Iowa (thanks to redvetracr) who has exactly the flares I'm looking for.

Rich
Ahhhhhh, I know where you live, Rich. Maybe I should just throw the frame and all this stuff on a trailer and we'll play Meccano set together. Did you Americans ever have Meccano (a UK product)?

Re: Do you think.......maybe? (67HEAVEN)
Bob,
Just let me know when you want to do it. I'll get the cutting torches and big hammers out. :smash:
I don't recall the "Meccano" sets - must have been before my time  - but I did do an awful lot with the Erector sets. I might even have some leftover pieces that might come in handy with your suspension installation!
Hey 67 Heaven, Would you like to see some pics of that kit being installed? I took pics of my entire restoration, so I am sure I have some of just the frame with the kit installed. Don't know if they would help you out or not. I would have to send them in an e-mail if you want them because I can't post pics here. Let me know. Classic
67heaven - do the offset trailing arms necessitate shorter swing axles? If so, are they in the kit? If not, do you cut the body?
Vette Brakes tell me that no changes are required. I'll soon see. :D
Yes, everyone. I'll keep you up-to-date on progress.
Meanwhile, I got the idea from richscorvettesbeautiful red '67 convertible. You all know the car by now, no doubt. I know that Rich will be happy to answer questions.
