Default Unknown C2 electrical component!

I was digging around under the dash of my 65 roadster and found what looks like a large capaciter mounted on a bracket near the steering column. The two wires from this unit are not connected and are just hanging under there. Anyone have an idea what it is? (Forum wont allow me to post a pic).

The forum will allow you to post pictures, it won't allow you to attach pictures unless you're a paying member. You can use photobucket or tinypic.com to post pictures any time. The instructions are posted in multiple threads, including the stickys at the top of the forum pages.

Here's just one of them:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...irections.html

And below is the one I use, I find it much easier than photobucket because you don't have to open any account or post to a site first:

Thanks so much for all of your help! Just got done installing a new turn signal switch and noticed the loose wiring from the capacitor.
