I am looking at an engine with casting # 3782870 and all i got on the stamping was FOII6S
could i get some help identifying this engine please

S is the suffix used with powerglide automatic cars.

62-64 Impala, 327 250HP and like Chuck said Powerglide.

the guy selling this says its from a 64 Corvette,,, but like a wise man said in this forum,, most sellers say they are from a Corvette
its nice to have access to the knowledge from you guys

It could also have been an over the counter replacement shortblock. Its a great restoration block for someone with a 64 w/powerglide.
