I had to comment. I've seen this car in person. The paint job on this car is unbelievable!!! Definitely a love it or hate it paint job but totally retro.
Hey 7vettes, GreaseMonkey is right about loving it or hating it. If you've never seen the paint, you cannot appreciate the amount of time that went into the job. It's a nostalgic blast from the past ( 30 years ) and it'll remain that way as long as the title is in my name. No black paint or wheel change here. Sorry dude, I must disagree.

Re: COTW - '62 (kcwild62)
Karl,
I said I like it, shoulda said I love it. It's a great car, especially with the flared wheel wells, etc., and very deserving of COTW. It's obvious that you put lots of effort into the car, sorry if my comment was taken wrong.
It's just that the next 58-62 that ends up in my garage is gonna end up black.
No offense taken. Pictures cannot describe the paint. I wish you could see it in person as did GreaseMonkey. It's the late 60's/early 70's California nostalgia at it's finest. I doubt there's another like it and for that reason, I want to preserve it for as long as I possibly can. I must admit, however, your idea would be acceptable for a future facelift.
Karl,
I also saw your car over at Mechanicsburg Sports Car. Tim & Todd have done most of my mechanicals (i.e rebuilt engine, trans, rearend, trailing arms). Great guys to work with as well as just to drop in and shoot the poop. Did they treat you right?
Hey GreaseMonkey, good to hear from you again. Tim was great with everything, i.e., tranny and rear end rebuild along with some seal replacements. Had to return for a leaky rear end pinion seal which was caused by a scratch in the housing, which allowed the oil to leak between the canned seal surround and the housing seal seat. He took it in as soon as I called him and fixed it at no charge. Great guy! I'd recommend him to anyone, however, he charges 10/hr more for Corvettes. :mad
