Brake Caliper Coding?
I replaced the brake calipers on all 4 wheels. Is there date coding, casting numbers etc for calipers? If so what would it be for "66. Also I am not sure about the vintage of calipers that were just removed as they could already have been replaced during their life cycle and I don't want to be holding onto worthless cast iron. Any help is appreciated.

65/66 First Design Delco-Moraine calipers have different part numbers on each half. They are:
Front 5465952 / 5465954
Rear 5465902 / 5465905
Each half should also have a cast in Julian date code.

Original and unmodified First Design calipers have guides cast into the piston bores and unique insulated pistons, both of which are lost when stainless steel sleeves are installed in rebuilding. Some people like to find the original unmodified cores and rebuild preserving the original configuration. This is something to consider before you send your cores out for rebuilding.
