Default 1964 Sting Ray - Missing Script

I purchased a 64 fuelie a few weeks ago and while walking around Carlisle I noticed I'm missing the Sting Ray script on the back passenger side . I looked and there are no holes where one should have been. Did al C-2 Vetts have that script o the back rear deck ?

Yes, it should be there. The holes were probably filled in during a prior repair or repaint. Get a flashlight and check from the underside.

If no (filled) holes detected when checking underneath, possibly the rear clip or a section of it was replaced or repaired at one time or another.

Correct. If there's never been holes, the car has likely had rear end body repair.

Or the holes can be there but it is very difficult to spot them

On the picture you can see the pattern of the pins that goes thru the body

No, not unless the inspectors were asleep.

The holes were in the mold for the panel. Hardly any mid years never had some past body work

If you need to drill holes for the emblem i would first buy the emblem, put some ink on the "pins" that goes thru the body and mark it on some hard thin cardboard so you have a template. When you make the template be sure you mark the holes so the emblem will sit straight

Then look at a 1964 that have the emblem in place so you got the correct measurements

Or is there any template to get hold of at any vendors or perhaps any members here have one?
