Hello,
Newbie here, I have found a 1963 splitie stingray with a straight body but in need of a full restoration on the mississippi gulf coast. I have a couple old trucks and cars but this is a dream car for me. I know it does have a 327 not running, not matching. Just wondering how much $$$ is reasonable here.
anywhere from 20K to 120K but from what you say mid 20's
Being a gulf coast car, I'd be sure to do a complete inspection for rust. A storm surge/flood car that has been submerged in salt water could be relatively worthless.
Thank you all for the advice, I offered him $10.000 and he's not biting, the car is in my town, good advice on storm damage, I bought a 54 gmc truck that submerged during Katrina and it has been a bear to restore. I guess I should up my offer after a good inspection
There are a lot of unique, and hard to find parts on an intact 63 Sting Ray, more so on the earlier builds. How many single year, and early 63 parts remain with the car will impact the value significantly.
Good luck with the purchase. I'd like to see more SWC's restored and back on the road again.
