69 Vette engine/ tremec install
Good customer bought an all aluminium big block to replace his tired motor. A 20k engine, a 5k Tremec, Mcleod twin disc clutch. My customer is a very detailed guy. Think he has done his homework. 570+ hp. Looking for advise about the tremec install. Thinking I am going to fit the motor and trans dry, and check for fitment issues before he takes it to the paint shop to detail the engine compartment. Recommended new wiring harnesses. any input from all of the pros on this site wll be welcome

depending on what shape the car is in, id do everything while its out. paint the engine bay, new hoses, wiring, bushing etc.. that way it all looks pretty when finished.
Should be a nasty ride with 570 threw tremec... last time i put in one of those trans it made a huge differece do the gearing of the trans.

Sounds like a great setup. Don't forget to dial in the bellhousing with the block. Offset pins are available if required. If this is going into a C2, I would dry fit it all. I installed my Tremec after all the body work and doors were fitted. I had to jack the floor up to clear the transmission and when I did, the door gap changed quite a bit. I am still dealing with that issue. Jerry
