Default Tire Sizes

I am in the middle of a 63 restoration, and its almost time to get tires.

Plan is to drive the car on the street as much as I have time for. Not a NCRS type of thing.

I have a 7" set of rally wheels to go on the 4-wheel disc setup I have installed.

What's the best tire size to use for a slightly lowered stance? I am thinking 215-60, but looking to the forum for feedback. Please post pics of your cars or point me to a thread that already exists.

Thanks in advance.

here is the current progress...

You can fit a 235/60/15 on a 7" rim. That's pretty much the widest stock equivalent rated to fit on a 7" rim. I don't have first hand knowledge of rubbing but I see no reason why they would. I used to run them on 8" rally's with no problem but they a bit too narrow for 8".
