1416 Bulb Question !

1416 Bulb Question !
Need to know before ordering 1416 bulbs. Will these fit into the tubes around the clock for lighting the center console in a C2? I believe they will fit into the dash cluster housings without any problem, but am just going to do the center console for the time being. I read and read and read the other "Dash Light Threads" 
and cannot find out this simple answer. Thank you.

I have those bulbs all over my instrument cluster and in my clock, but they will not fit in anything that uses a bulb cover (cig. lighter, ign. lock, or the heater/radio control lamp. The biggest bulb you can get in the heater/radio control lamp is size T 3 1/4. 1416s are size T 4 1/2.
