I had Coker radials on my car and one night I had to do a quick lane change to avoid an object in my lane. I was doing about 35MPH and those "good ride" Cokers almost rolled off the wheel because of a very thin sidewall. If an emergency arises, don't count on your Cokers to respond to save your car or life. In case someone questions my abilities, I have had extensive hours in pursuit driving courses as an LEO, that doesn't make me an expert but I had great training over the average person.
I made a similar maneuver with my Michelin radials and the car responded in the appropriate manner.
I'll take performance over ride any day.

I believe Coker Tires are made in the USA, however their quality for road use is questionable. They are more suitable for shows ( trailer queens). Me too had the unfortunate experience going through the Alligator Alley south Florida , to experience a tire failure, ( tires did not have more than 2500 miles on them).
Put a new "FRESH" set of michellins.

I'm quite happy with the "Vredestein Sprint Classic".
Coming from Netherlands, having modern technology but old school design
Traction is great.
From now on available with white stripes.

Hi Markus, do you know the width of the white stripes on the 205/70 15"?

Don't know it in numbers, Alexander.
Have a look here:

I have 205/75-15 white wall tires on my car now but i wonder how 215/70-15 BF Goodrich Radial TA white letters will look like?

I like a little wider look but going from 205/75-15 to 215/70-15 tires can you tell any difference?

Prior to the 215/70R15 Pirellis I was running 205/65R15 Goodyears which replaced the 670-15 Firestone bias plies. The 205/65R15's gave me better handling than the 215/70R15's but did not ride as well and I thought they looked a little too small for the car. The 215/70R15 will give you the wider look and better handling than the 205/75R15, however it is a fairly large looking tire as you can see from the photo. You might also take a look at a 215/65R15 which will give you a wider, smaller diameter, better handling tire than the 215/70R15, however, you would be sacrificing some ride quality. Whatever you decide upon, make sure you have enough fender clearance. And to answer your specific question, yes you will be able to tell the difference.

You need to empty your cache and/or restart your system; the link I posted (www.dbtires.com) works fine.

215/70-15 tires look good on a C2
Is it just my imagination or do they look quite a bit wider/more tire?

I wonder how it look on knock off wheels with 215/70-15 tires

If i change from 205/75-15 i suppose i will go for 215/70-15 to have the tire most correct and you will only have a diameter variance: -0.94% compared to the 205/76-15 tire
And the question that is hard to decide on, is to choose white walls, black walls or perhaps white letters?

If you go for 215/65-15 there will be a diameter variance of: -4.07% and i think you will notice that

It will handle better, ride a little stiffer and cause your speedometer to be 4% fast.
