Default 62 Engine question

Just bought a 62 in good overall condition except paint. The engine is a 327 NOM. Since I want this to be a nice dependable driver I am thinking about installing a Crate Motor Ram Jet 350 fuel injected engine. Has any one done this swap, will the fuel injection clear the stock hood, any help would be appreciated.

327's are as nice and dependable as they get.

I put a RamJet 350 in a 62 I owned a few years ago.
Great engine, lots of power and great gas mileage.
But, the plenem hit the hood cross brace even though I lowered the front motor mounts by cutting some of the rubber cushion off. You also have to be careful so the harmonic balancer does not hit the front cross member.
So I finally cut out a 6 inch section out of the hood cross brace, body worked and painted it and nobody ever noticed it was cut.
If I remember I also had to gring one of the timing chain cover bolts to clear the front mount.
Even with these minor problems it was a great swap and performed well until I sold the car.
Contact me if you have any other questions.
